AccessKnox has created an
experimental Online Status & Messaging Directory. If you would like
to be included in the directory there is a nominal one-time setup
fee. We do this to cover the cost of coding and provide a
level of security for parents concerned about their children
chatting with the wrong person. You will need a
PayPal account
to activate the service. This keeps children from giving out
personal information without their parents knowledge.
We emphasize that this service is
experimental because the Online Status & Messaging Directory uses
servers that are not part of AccessKnox or Hometown-Network.
These third party servers include: AOL, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo and
OnlineStatisIndicator.
We can not guarantee the availability or the compatibility of these
servers, however we have used Online Status buttons for a number of
years on our web sites and found the service works well.
We require that you send us
payment before we do any coding. This is because we do not
believe children will have access to a PayPal account. Once we
have payment, we will contact you through your PalPal account email address for
your messenger directory information. If for any reason you
are not completely satisfied. We will refund 100% of your
setup fee within the first 30 days.
We use PayPal exclusively because it
offers a resolution forum for disputing payments and you do not
provide us or our servers any personal financial information.

The setup fee for the Online
Status Indicator & Messaging Directory is a one time coding fee, so
as long as you do not change your messaging ID there will be no
additional charges for this service.
We charge as setup of $5 per
messenger service, so if you choose to have all four messaging
services listed the one time charge will be a total of $20.
Any time you list two or more messaging services we will place a
border around your account IDs so that they are easier to see.
We recommend that you create a
"public" or "business" ID if you wish to publish a public address in
this directory and that you keep your primary account "private" for
close friends and family. We have more information and tips in

Note: We can add your Online
Status Indicator to Spotlight or Homepages that we design and host.
This would be handy if you wish to provide online support from your
